Preschool (3-5 Years)

Preschool (3-5 Years)

Our Preschool Program at Tara's Day Care is specifically designed to create a nurturing, fun, and educational environment for children aged 3 to 5 years. We are committed to fostering social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through a well-rounded approach of structured activities, free play, and guided learning. Our program focuses on establishing a solid foundation for early childhood education while promoting curiosity, creativity, and independence.

Key Components of our Preschool Program include:

1. Early Literacy and Language Development: Children will engage in storytime, reading various books to develop vocabulary, comprehension, and a love for reading. They will also participate in phonemic awareness activities to strengthen literacy skills and enhance oral communication through storytelling and dramatic play.
2. Mathematical Thinking: Our program emphasizes number recognition, counting, and basic math concepts such as addition and subtraction through hands-on activities with real-world examples. Children will also explore shapes, patterns, and spatial relationships through games, puzzles, and art projects.
3. Creative Arts and Expression: Our program offers children the opportunity to explore various art mediums, including paint, markers, clay, and collage, to unleash their creativity. Additionally, we provide music, dance, and rhythm activities to foster coordination, body awareness, and self-expression.

Children can also engage in dramatic play areas to role-play different scenarios, encouraging imagination and social skills development.
4. Social & Emotional Development: Our activities focus on promoting teamwork, problem-solving, and sharing to enhance positive social skills.

We also teach children how to identify, express, and regulate their emotions in healthy ways.

Furthermore, we guide children in resolving conflicts independently and peacefully through discussions and role-playing scenarios.
5. Physical Development: Through activities like puzzles, building blocks, and drawing, children develop fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. We also offer physical activities to enhance balance, coordination, and strength, such as running, jumping, and playing with large equipment. Outdoor play is encouraged to promote exploration, exercise, and interaction with nature in a safe environment.
6. Science and Discovery: Children engage in hands-on exploration through simple science experiments and activities to spark curiosity about the world around them. We encourage problem-solving by prompting children to explore, ask questions, and find answers through observation and experimentation. Our program aims to foster a love for learning and discovery in all children.
